General Ministry

Humble Yourself

In Philippians 2:1-8, the Apostle Paul exhorts all believers to be more like Jesus Christ by imitating His humility. But what exactly is humility? By definition, humility is not thinking and speaking highly of oneself. However, from a biblical point of view, humility is far more than that; it is placing God’s desires above one’s own desires. Because Christ completely submitted Himself to God the Father, He only did what the Father instructed Him, which were to love and serve the world (even though the world did not recognize and receive Him [John 1:10-11]). His willingness and obedience to the Father enabled Jesus to be successful in everything that He did or faced as a man living in a fallen world.

Jesus alone exemplifies true love and servanthood—even unto death. That was why “ . . . God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

Purpose of General Ministry

When you become more and more like Christ, you will begin to experience success in every area of your life and that’s God’s promise to you! Thus, the purpose of the General Ministry is five-fold as follow:

Seek the lost and bring them into the kingdom of God

1.

2.

Renew the minds of believers with the Word of God so that they see things from God’s perspective

Grow and develop the faith of Christians

Train believers to not just hear but to also be doers of the Word

3.

4.

Help followers of the One True God to discover and develop their God-given gifts or talents so that they can use them to serve others

5.

What Is Faith?

Hebrews 11:1 tells us, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Of course, faith encompasses more than just believing in God. In the simplest terms, faith is: ...

God Is Love: What Does this Mean?

First John 4:8 tells us that God is love. But what exactly does this mean? As Christians, it’s important that we know and understand what “God is love” is all about. Why is this so? Because we are to love like God. God is love because (1) He gave us His best—Jesus Christ, (2) His love is unconditional, (3) He is always faithful, and (4) the Lord is forever good.

The Three Dimensions of Man: Body, Spirit, and Soul

According to Genesis 2:7 it says, “Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man become a living being.” From this line of scripture, it can be deduced that “the dust of the ground” is the body; the “breath of life” refers to the spirit—which came from God; and “living being” represents the soul—which came into existence only after the body and spirit came together.

Our Enemy Is Not One But Three

As born again believers in Christ, we are called by God to live a life that is holy and acceptable to Him (1 Thessalonians 4:1, 3, 7). To do this, we need to renew our mind with the Word of God. However, before we can renew our mind, we must first understand who our foe is. You see, before a boxer enters the ring, he first learns who his opponent is by studying their fight records and history. In doing so, it provides him with invaluable information on how best to prepare so that he comes out victorious against his foe. The same is true for Christians as well. Too many believers are defeated in life because they do not understand who their opponent is. Thus, one of the keys to successful Christians living is to first know and understand the enemy.

Ken’s Background in the Word & Walk with the Lord

Ken has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior since 2012. In Joshua 1:8 God told Joshua the son of Nun: "'Keep this Book of the Law  [which in our case today is the Bible] always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.'" That's why Ken firmly believes that the Word of God is the key to success in every area of life. But to experience the blessings of the Lord, we as His children must put God’s truths into practice. In other words, we do what is “possible” and God will do “the impossible.” For example, in Exodus 14:21-22, as Pharaoh and his army were in hot pursuit of the Hebrews, Moses stretched his hand over the Red Sea (which was he doing what was possible) and God divided the body of water (which was He doing the impossible) so that the Israelites could cross safely from one side to the other (which was the blessing of the Lord).

As a follower of the One True God, Ken wholeheartedly agrees with what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 concerning the truth that every believer is a part of one body—that is the Body of Christ. As such, every Christian has an important role to fill and work to do in the ministry of Jesus Christ to bring all people to know the truth of God. Thus, one of Ken’s ministry callings from God is to help build up every believer so that each can tap into and use their God-given gifts to serve in whatever ministry area they have been called to.

Currently, Ken is studying the Word of God at Rhema Bible Training College (RBTC) in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with a focus in Itinerant Ministry.
